Here’s how to subscribe to HiveChannel5.com so that you can vote! (Instructions also available as a video here!)
Subscriptions are free, and no credit card info is required to subscribe or vote. What’s more, you’ll get five free “boons” each month that you can use to vote (you can always get more in our “Boon Store”). However, we want to keep the voting fair, so we’ve created this subscription option, which involves email verification.
We’re working to streamline the process, but for now, think of it as an adventure. Ready? Let’s go!
1. First you go to hivechannel5.com. Then click this yellow “Subscribe and Vote” button at the top of the page.
2. It will take you to this page, which adds the “Subscriber” item to your shopping cart when you click the “Sign Up Now” button.
3. Now that the “Subscriber” item has been added to your cart, you can click the “View Cart” button.
4. Now you can see the “Subscriber” item in your shopping cart. You’ll see the “Subscriber” item is listed, and it is free and will renew on a monthly basis, once again for free, and you can cancel at any time. So next we’ll click the “Proceed to Checkout” button at the bottom of the screen.
5 & 6.This takes you to the “Checkout” screen, where you’ll enter your information and create your account user name, which can be the same as your email address, if you’d like. Once you’ve entered your info, click the “Sign Up Now” button.
7. At this point, the system will send you three separate emails, typically within a few minutes. One will have your log-in password, which you’ll want to keep for future reference, in case you log out and want to log back in. If you do lose it, not to worry, you can use the automatic password reset link at log-in. Another email will be a receipt for your zero dollar purchase. The system automatically sends a receipt for all items in your cart, even if it is for a grand total of $0. The third email will have your email address verification link. Click on that link to confirm your email address and to be logged in. Once you’re logged in, you’ll have five free boons you can use to vote. Look for open polls you can vote on at HiveChannel5.com. If you use all your boons up and want to buy more, you can do that in the Boon Store as well.
